I wonder how much longer we will continue to get mail delivered 6 days a week. The talk is it will reduce to 3 days a week (to save money)..and I have just been reading that there is the same talk in Australia now ..
Gosh, the services we have come to expect all these years are now starting to disappear on us...

Surely all us patch workers and swappers are keeping postie busy! I only get mail three days now which isn't too bad, wouldn't like it to be less though.
ReplyDeleteYour books look great, I, too, would sit with a cup of coffee, and read and read. But being very careful not to wave my hand in the air, as I once did, and spill the coffee on a library book. The one good thing, after I paid for a new one, I was allowed to keep the stained one!! Cheers, Jean

ReplyDeleteAustralia Post just today announced the axing of well over 1000 jobs, apparently mainly managerial-type jobs... but yes it seems that the weekday mail delivery will change sometime in the not too distant future to perhaps 3 times a week or something like that.
Parcel delivery is doing fine because of the popularity of online shopping - so that all bodes well for the delivery of our Swap Parcels!
