I have a question...What do you put onto the back of your stitchery fabric?????

Yes I am looking for advice....I have tried a few things and ironed them on (a bit of trial and error...not all of them have been totally successful!!) so I was just wondering what other people use on the back of their fabric before they start stitching...

  1. Parlan. Been using it for years and will never swap to anything else. It's the same stuff that Leanne Beasley uses beind all her work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. Huge

  2. My favourite is Parlan aswell .... I think a lot of the ones with ironing you do need to get the temperature and length of time right to make sure it seals properly without burning/melting!

  3. I forget the names of some of the brands.....I use parlan and sometimes weaveline.....depends what I can get. Sometimes I don't use anything but it depends on the project and the fabric.

  6. Hi Lyn... i mostly use weaveline but parlan is great too... perhaps buy a small amount & try out some different ones, see which one you favour...

  7. I use either whisper weft or a cheaper equivalent from Spotlight. They are just enough to give a little body without being stiff and to hide the threads on the back.
