A BIG THANK YOU!

I had to go away for a few days and have arrived home to find a lot of very positive, encouraging emails- Thank you all for your friendly wishes as I embark on what is a new venture for me. I have a lot to learn about blogging and all it entails. I have to admit to being one of those 'lurkers' up till now and being a little terrified of getting started, so bear with me as I learn.

The hardest part was thinking of a name for the blog- there are some really clever names out there already so that made it challenging. I live in the South Island of New Zealand and it is also referred to as 'The Mainland" at times ( but usually only by those who live in the South) I asked the family for suggestions and my daughter came up with this one, so here I am.

I haven't always lived in NZ though. I grew up in Australia, married my Kiwi husband and moved over here to his home town when our girls were little. That was a bit over 20 years ago but I am still very much an Australian, keen to keep track of what is happening over there!

I have a long list of projects that I want to do or finish, some of which I'll admit to, are - 'It's a Redwork Christmas" (partly done), 'Down in the Garden' (I have the kit), 'Tis the Season' ( I've bought the book, now need to organise the fabric) plus a pile of small kits and projects that I was 'tempted' to buy or start over time ( just because I liked them! see, no willpower here when temptation is in the way!)
So now I have to get going on them, finish some things off and then post some photos (when I work out how to!)
Till next time..
