Some progress...

...have spent the weekend relaxing, reading and doing some stitching...I had left some of the leaves and flowers unfinished and now that they are done I can make up the pincushion

I set this up before Christmas to make another bookmark, so got it out and started again..aiming to finish it before the end of the week...

..and this is what I worked on with my daughter for St Patrick's Day.. my quilting tools came in handy for some of the finishing touches...the vliesofix for the shamrocks ..and the rotary cutter for the waistbands etc.. 

A Long Weekend...

...come tomorrow I will be enjoying the extra days holiday...it is Anniversary Weekend here...so no work till Tuesday....just what I need to recharge the batteries...had 3 sick days off work last week, and have not really got on top of it this week...so not much stitching has been taking place...

.. .it was a lovely sunny day this morning, perfect for sitting outside, reading the paper and enjoying a cuppa... but now the grey sky has rolled in and I am anxiously  keeping my eye on the washing...catching up on some reading and trying to decide what project I will do some work on...

Kickstarting the mojo....

the sewing machine was whirring at the end of last week...as DD2 and I worked on an outfit she wanted to wear to a St Patrick's Day do -she didn't get the fabric till Thursday so there was no time to waste!!  I got to do some of the 'fun' stuff like cutting out, pressing, putting in the zipper and then some of the handsewing to finish it off when she had to work on Saturday.
On Saturday I also went to a small patchwork group that I have got to far too infrequently in the past,
and I enjoyed sitting down, talking, doing a little stitching and appreciating what others were working on..

I'm Still Here...

...I just haven't had anything bright and cheerful to talk about lately....and my motivation to do anything crafty has deserted me....

Now to get thinking and sewing....

I so enjoyed the Secret Santa swap I was in last year that I decided to join in Kathy's swap....

and today I received my partner's details....now begins the fun of working out what to make .....
